Multi-channel mixed media installation

27 archival objects moulded in transparent epoxy resin, 33 prostheses 3D printed with transparent resin, 60 jack adapters, 60 mini jack adapters, organ as 7-channel sound object, conducting laser machine, moving mirror stage, artist book.

After losing a part of the left index finger a modular synthesizer was built, a system of memory and sound as modular prosthesis that can be worn by the artist when performing.

This is an archive of private objects collected over the years and adapted, a total of 63 transparent resin prostheses: 27 cast and 33 3-D printed ‘f-tools' as well as the fragmented three components audio installation. It refers to an extensive finger archive, which is divided into 27 bones, 33 muscles and 3 nerves of the hand. 

It’s activated by live performances with organ, saxophone, voice, analogue synthesizer, loop station and feedback devices. The sound present in the exhibition space (that builds echoes and feedback itself) combined with using the objects generates its own improvised composition in real time.

index f_3 nerves_organ board cast in transparent resin for notations with artist book »Index f – describing the spectrum of a liquid finger, pointing to wounds, searching for adapters« and jack finger adapter, mini jack finger adapter / organ, movable on a rolling stage with the mirror that cut off the left index finger / a conducting machine (neck and back massager) built into the back of the organ with double laser aimed at the walls, moving in the infinite gesture of the conductor and scanning all prostheses, / seven-channel sound consisting of six underwater recordings of rivers in Yokohama plus live sound of the organ / organ part for deck and knee movements with book trimmings.

The exhibition space was activated by seven sound performances during the Graduate Show 2024 of the HFBK Hamburg.
